Forship S.P.A. manages, in the Savona-Vado port system, a terminal dedicated to passenger traffic (ferry and cruise) and Ro-Ro operations.
Inaugurated in 1999, the terminal saw the shipping Company “Corsica Ferries–Sardinia Ferries” as first important client. This Company guarantees connections with Corsica . The terminal is developed on equipped area of approximately 50.000 mq, with four quays for Ro-Ro ships. It has a bonded warehouse with a surface of 1.500 mq and an area destined to the arrangement of vehicles and trucks, (and parking too). The terminal consists of a ground-floor ticket office with five emplacements, snack bar, waiting hall in an area with facilities for children, nursery, panoramic terraces, (offices and two conference rooms). It has therefore equipments to satisfy both passenger traffic (ferries and cruise) and goods traffic Ro-Ro.
One of Forship Terminal's strengths is the excellent accessibility. The Terminal ( 45 Km from Genoa-Airport and 32 km from Genoa-Voltri) can be reached directly from the motorway.
Forship S.p.A., beyond to the function of terminal operator, carries out activities as shipping agent and executes customs formalities and with the harbour Master's office. Forship S.p.A. is general agent of the shipping Company “Corsica Ferries – Sardinia Ferries”. The terminal rooms accommodate the offices of this Company among which the Marketing Direction, Catering Direction, Crew Office, Technical Office.
A great area in the port of Savona-Vado is at the Company disposal for mooring (docking) the ships. The Terminal has covered a decisive role for the development of this important client. Forship S.p.A. services are available for Ro-Ro ferries, cruise ships and car carries.
Forship S.p.A. demanded and obtained the quality certification ISO 9001-2000.
